The AI Intern will work closely with the Rotor Optimization and Performance (ROP) India team to enhance existing aerodynamic analysis systems through AI-driven automation. The role focuses on building intelligent utilities, improving validation workflows, and strengthening technical documentation to make the framework scalable and accessible for future engineering contributions. By integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques into simulation and analysis processes, you will help modernize how wind turbine performance is evaluated and optimized.
This internship is ideal for engineering, science, or mathematics students who are passionate about renewable energy, AI applications, and computational engineering. The role combines Python programming, data handling, AI/ML techniques, and collaborative R&D engagement. Working from the Bengaluru office for a minimum of three months, you will gain valuable industry exposure in aerodynamic simulation, automation tooling, and energy technology innovation within a globally recognized organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Enhance the aerodynamic performance analysis framework by integrating AI-based automation tools to improve engineering efficiency and accuracy.

Develop Python-based utilities that support simulation workflows, data validation, and analytical modeling for rotor performance optimization.

Assist in setting up structured test environments to validate newly developed tools and ensure reliable system outputs.

Apply AI and Machine Learning techniques to automate repetitive engineering processes and improve data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to understand system requirements and translate them into scalable automation solutions.

Contribute to clear and comprehensive technical documentation to support internal users and future contributors to the framework.

Improve code quality by writing clean, modular, and well-documented scripts aligned with version control best practices.

Support framework scalability initiatives that enable broader team participation and long-term sustainability of engineering tools.

Analyze aerodynamic datasets and performance outputs to identify optimization opportunities and validation improvements.

Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute innovative ideas that strengthen the overall engineering ecosystem.
Requirements & Eligibility:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a UG, PG, or PhD degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from a reputed institution.

Ability to work from the Bengaluru office for at least three months, ensuring active collaboration with the R&D team.

Strong proficiency in Python programming with the ability to develop clean, efficient, and structured code for automation tasks.

Experience in data handling and applying AI/ML techniques to solve engineering or analytical problems.

Familiarity with MATLAB and LaTeX is an added advantage, especially for simulation workflows and technical documentation.

Knowledge of version control systems such as Git to manage code repositories and collaborate effectively within teams.

Expected Salary:
