Job Description:

The Web Engineer Intern role at FamPay is a high-impact opportunity for aspiring frontend engineers who are passionate about building delightful, high-performance web experiences. As part of FamPay’s web engineering team, you will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to bring ideas to life through clean, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces that form the backbone of FamPay’s web products.

In this role, you will actively contribute to developing, testing, and shipping user-facing features while learning how modern web applications are designed, optimized, and scaled. You will work with contemporary frontend technologies such as React, modern styling systems, and performance-focused tooling. The internship emphasizes hands-on ownership, where interns are trusted with meaningful responsibilities rather than limited shadowing, allowing you to grow rapidly as an engineer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance user-facing web interfaces that are fast, responsive, and visually consistent across devices.

• Work closely with product and design teams to translate business and UX requirements into functional frontend solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable frontend code using modern JavaScript frameworks and best practices.

• Develop, test, and deploy features that are actively used by a growing user base.

• Debug UI issues, handle edge cases, and improve application performance and reliability.

• Ensure smooth user experiences by optimizing rendering, interactions, and load times.

• Maintain proper documentation for implemented features and technical decisions.

• Collaborate in code reviews and actively incorporate feedback to improve code quality.

• Experiment with animations, interactions, and UI improvements to enhance user engagement.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute proactively in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in frontend or web development.

• Strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with the ability to build responsive layouts.

• Hands-on experience with React.js through projects, coursework, internships, or self-learning.

• Basic familiarity with TypeScript or a strong willingness to learn it during the internship.

• Understanding of modern styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS solutions.

• Introductory knowledge of UI interactions and animations using CSS or libraries like Framer Motion.

• Basic understanding of Next.js and rendering concepts such as Server-Side Rendering and Static Site Generation.

• Awareness of frontend performance considerations and cross-browser compatibility.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for learning in a real-world product environment.
