WTW – Automation Tester

Job Description

WTW is seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester to join its technology team in Mumbai. This is a fully hands-on role where you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and resilience of enterprise-grade applications. You will work closely with developers, product owners, DevOps teams, and other QA professionals to design, execute, and continuously improve automation test strategies across complex systems.

As an Automation Tester at WTW, you will take ownership of automation outcomes end-to-end—from understanding business process flows and test requirements to building, executing, and maintaining robust automation test packs. You will actively identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, optimize testing approaches, and improve overall delivery efficiency while maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This role also involves close collaboration with multiple scrum teams to support integration testing, regression coverage, and risk identification. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring junior QA engineers, sharing technical expertise, and ensuring that testing challenges are addressed proactively at the lowest responsible level. Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the creation, execution, and maintenance of automation test packs across applications.

• Understand business processes, system flows, and test requirements to ensure high-quality delivery.

• Take ownership of automation outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with scrum teams to identify integration, regression, and risk areas.

• Partner with Development, DevOps, Architecture, and Product teams to ensure resilient solutions.

• Support and coordinate with QA team members across multiple geographical locations.

• Share automation best practices through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sessions.

• Communicate technical solutions and automation strategies to key stakeholders.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and guide them in automation best practices.

• Identify opportunities to optimize testing effort, improve efficiency, and reduce delivery risk.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Automation Testing in large enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Python (preferred), Java, or C#.

• Advanced experience in API-based automation testing.

• Strong skills in UI automation testing frameworks and tools.

• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.

• Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, and test data automation.

• Good database knowledge for test data creation and validation.

• Hands-on experience with development tools such as PyCharm, Eclipse, or Visual Studio.

• Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies.

• Knowledge or experience with AI testing tools or practices is an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions clearly.
